How recommendations and affiliate links work

Not every recommendation earns a commission
Some links go directly to manufacturers or specialist retailers without affiliate tracking. A useful option does not need an affiliate programme to belong in a guide.
Look for a commission notice alongside affiliate recommendations. An ordinary source link or retailer link is not automatically an affiliate link. Check the exact model, seller and delivery region whichever route you use.
Research is not the same as a hands-on test
A buying guide can compare supplier specifications, installation requirements and compatibility without being a hands-on review. Read the sources and limitations on the page to understand what supports the recommendation.
A hands-on review should identify the model or coffee batch, the equipment and conditions used, and what was actually observed. A product photograph or a supplier specification is not a measured test result.
Your purchase is with the retailer

For machine parts, confirm the model code, voltage and revision with the supplier. For coffee, check the bag size, roast information and shipping destination. A familiar product name alone is not a compatibility check.
